IMPORTANT NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS


ELIGIBILITY: 

Cryptorchid, Monorchid Dogs and Dogs under R.A.F. will not be permitted to compete and bitches in season will not be allowed to compete for Obedience.


ENFORCEMENT & AMENDMENTS OF RULES

The decision of the particular Judge is Final, subject only to appeal to K.C.I., should objections arise which are not provided for in the rules, the committees decision will be final. Any breach of the rules of K.C.I. regulations will render the exhibitos liable to disciplinary action by the committee.  Exhibitors are also liable for any damage done by them, their handlers or their dogs.  The committee reserves the right to refuse or accept any entry without assigning any reason.


PENALTY: 

  1. Any willful misrepresentation regarding ownership, age, name, pedigree, etc.
  2. Any dog entered and prepared for exhibition, in contravention to K.C.I. regulations, will be liable to disciplinary action by the committee.
  3. Double handling.

 

Plastics are banned in the Nilgiris, please avoid use of carry bags, plastic cups, etc., Violations are liable for hefty fines from the local authorities, both for you and the Organizers.

Animal Rights Activists are very earnest in Ooty.  Exhibitors please ensure that any dog that has not been entered that particular Show day, not passed by the VET or is not registered with the K.C.I. should not be brought to the Show Grounds or anywhere near.  Any other animals or birds are strictly banned from entering the Show Grounds.  By violation of the above norm, your dogs that are entered in the show could be disqualified.


K.C.I. RULES:

  1. To impose a ban / suspension on any exhibitor / handler found consuming or having consumed liquor while exhibiting a dog in the Show Ring. The ban / suspension shall be for a minimum period of 3 years and shall also include a fine of Rs. 1000/-.  Such persons shall not be permitted to own, register or exhibit any dog at  a K.C.I. recognized show during the above said period of suspension.
  2. To impose a ban / suspension on any exhibitor / handler who is found to argue with the Judge, fight or use abusive language against co-exhibitors or any official of the Show. The ban / suspension shall be for a minimum period of 3 years and shall also include a fine of Rs. 1000/-.  Such persons shall not be permitted to own, register or exhibit any dog at  a K.C.I. recognized show during the above said period of suspension.
  3. The K.C.I. has decided to license all professional handlers and issue identity cards which they shall have in their possession while handling exhibits for monetary consideration.

ABSENT:

Dogs that are not present in the ring when their classes are judged, will be deemed to have been absent.


OBJECTIONS:

Objections will be decided by the Committee in accordance with K.C.I. regulations.  The objection fee is Rs. 1000/-, refundable if the objection is held valid by the show committee, if turned down, it will be forfeited.


VET EXAMINATION:

All dogs must be passed by the Veterinary Surgeon present at the show gate and certified ‘Fit’ by him, before admission.


NOTE:

Any bad behavior inside the Show Ground or Ring, with or without the influence or alcohol, will be very seriously dealt.  Under such a circumstance the Secretary of the Show Committee will disqualify, not only the particular exhibit, but also the handler in question.

This handler will not be allowed to handle any other dog in that Show. The person under question will not be allowed to show their dogs in the  forth coming shows as per committee’s decision.

Exhibitors are prohibited from wearing T-shirts or shirts bearing the name or logo of their kennel. Those contravening this rule will not be permitted to enter the ring.
